Del Ray
Del Ray is an area within Alexandria, VA, next to Old Town Alexandria. It is near the Braddock Metro station and has a main street called “The Avenue” which is lined with shops and restaurants and local businesses. Del Ray has a hip vibe and is bustling on weekends and nights, especially during the warm summer months. Mostly detached houses, many Craftsman style bungalows, Del Ray is mixed with many styles of architecture. They have many events throughout the year, and it is a neighborhood very supported by its residents.
Rosemont – Mount Ida – Braddock Heights
Next to Del Ray and Old Town are areas sectioned out with names like Rosemont, Mount Ida, Braddock Heights, Seminary Hill, etc. These small neighborhoods within the City of Alexandria, VA have personalities all their own. With large Craftsman style homes, to huge colonials, and everything in between, these neighborhoods are coveted by many because of how quaint they are, but also because of the many parks, playgrounds, public schools, some private schools, daycare, dog care, and more. It is a hilled area boasting tall mature trees, sidewalks for leisurely strolls, and a short distance to many major employers, shopping, restaurants, and more.
